SALINA REGIONAL HOSPITAL

Salina Regional Hospital is filled to the rafters. It's a zoo, so I've been told. It's not a situation where there is a lot of influenza or any one thing among patients, it's just a deluge of a variety of illnesses. Stay healthy as there is NO room at the inn where you are referred from here.

Wash your hands. People just don't see the need in really scrubbing their hands. Certainly they aren't taught that in school and it would seem to be a good thing to cut down on the amount of diseases the students spread around. A doctor once told me the proper way....wet your hands, slather them with lots of soap and the scrub front and back and between the fingers while singing "Yankee Doodle Dandy"...all the way through. Then rinse thoroughly and use a clean something or other to dry them. And if you are in a public bathroom, figure out a way to get out of the door without touching the door handle. Do this several times a day, keep your hands out of your mouth and eyes and you just might avoid what's going around.
