PATIENT IS DOING GREAT
I think Brit feels better than he has in a very long time. The Roto-Rooter surgery cleared up a lot of problems associated with the prostate gland and bladder. Older guys tend to encounter these things eventually. Certainly the surgery took care of a lot of his discomfort and infections.
I'd just suggest that the surgery is much easier on younger guys and putting off things won't make the problem go away. Brit waited far too long to seek out a surgeon. He just can't grasp the concept that we are all responsible for our own health care.
I'll take him for his post-op check up on Thursday and I imagine the doctor (Brian Smith) will lift most of his restrictions. Yea!
I'm glad this is behind us now. It was painful for him both before and following surgery...and he was an absolute helpless mess for a few days following surgery, but that is all a thing of the past. We're both glad for that. I'm just delighted he's feeling so much better. And we thank you for your cards, letters and calls.
