REMEMBER IVAN WEICHERT?

Ivan is an old friend of mine and works for "the state". I blogged him several months ago when he was here and first told me about his work locating all these unused state cars that were just sitting there. He's pretty amazing developing programs to keep track of such things. There was a news release about it at that time.

Now the push is to rid the state of 739 vehicles which the Gov. says will save the state $8.6 million. There will probably be some good buys at the auction. The state will then rent cars as needed. That makes sense. Ivan is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
